Creative Journeys Through Time | 6 week art workshop with Helen Garrett

6 October 2023, 10:00am -1:00pm,

John White’s Learning Centre

£190 per participant for the 6 weeks (Please note that all equipment and materials are included in the course fee).

Designed for adults interested in art, prehistory and archaeology, and running as a six-week block, this course is an exciting opportunity to get up close with some extraordinary artefacts in the collection at Dorset Museum. We will develop our foundational drawing skills together and experiment with a range of materials and techniques. We will be drawing inspiration from rocks and fossils, creating a unique colour palette for your painting, exploring patterns and decorations as seen on the mysterious beaker pots, and studying ancient beads and their possible journeys across the globe.

Many participants choose to continue throughout the year so there is always a sense of warmth and welcome within the group.

Ticket price includes all materials, self-service tea and coffee, and an opportunity to explore the Museum before or after the workshop.
