Heritage Open Day – Thomas Hardy Tour

Join us this Heritage Open Day for a bespoke tour of the Museum to learn more about the world of Thomas Hardy with our trained guide. The tour will bring Thomas Hardy’s story to life through a selection of objects in our collection, spanning Hardy’s childhood right through to his adult life and death.

On the Hardy tour, you’ll uncover the hidden stories behind the objects on display and contemplate the connections between our wider collections and the social, historical and natural landscapes which inspired Hardy’s Wessex. Whether you’re a Hardy enthusiast, or are completely new to Hardy’s works, all are welcome on this engaging tour to delve deeper into the world of Thomas Hardy.
